About JOSH PATRICK

Josh PatrickAs the senior member of the Wayne Township Board of Trustees, I was elected in November 2015 and I took my seat in 2016 for a four year term. After being re-elected in 2019, my tenure was extended to Dec. 31, 2023.

I am a lifelong resident of Wayne Township. I grew up playing on the streets of Waynesville, and I am a graduate of Waynesville High School. I attended college at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee before returning home to start my family.

I have been married for 17 years to my wife, Lauren. We have two children that we are proud to raise as Spartans: Sophia, age 12, and Bodhi, age 8. We currently reside in Corwin with two dogs, three cats, and saltwater fish. I enjoy reading, hiking, cycling, and riding roller coasters with my kids when time allows.

Business Experience

For over 10 years I managed a financial and credit counseling agency before making a career developing websites. As my wife and I started to raise our family and wanted to work closer to home, we decided to (re)open a local business, Pat's Place Sunoco. My grandfather, Verdis Patrick, bought the gas station in 1981, and after leaving the Patrick family for a few years, we were able to update and re-open the store in 2013.

Unfortunately, following Lauren's many year battle with cancer and the COVID-19 pandemic, we closed the business in late 2020.

Since then, I have found my calling in the firearms and outdoors industries, and currently lead Direct to Consumer Sales for the parent company of Huffy Bicycles.

My experience with technology and business — including directing multimillion dollar budgets in the public and private sectors — has given me a unique skillset ideal to serve the township and continue taking us forward.

Looking Forward

When I joined the board it was my desire to help modernize our local government and share my experience with business, technology, and finance to make Wayne Township (Waynesville and Corwin included) a better place to live, work, and play. There's just a little more work to be done, so I am asking for one last term before retiring from politics.

It has been a humbling experience to be your trustee. Thank you for your continued support.
